Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety is universal and we have all experienced it at some point in our lives, but sometimes it sticks around or life throws us a wrench and it’s crippling.  As we adapt to a world embattled by a pandemic worry is taking over and leaving more of us overwhelmed, on edge, paranoid and in a constant state of fear and panic. Even if the symptoms of anxiety aren’t evident now, chances are it will show up in the near future because of the constant overload of information about the Corona Virus and growing concerns around personal health, family and income. There is only so much we are designed to handle.

So what does anxiety look and feel like?

Anxiety can feel like intense fear, terror, panic, or dread.  It can make your heart beat faster, feel like tension in your chest or other parts of your body, and even make it difficult to breathe. You may feel sweaty and tingly, and your thoughts may race no matter what you try, making you feel defeated or trapped. When you start to avoid things, places, people or have a hard time with doing or focusing on day to day things, it might be time to get help and this is where our expertise comes in.  Our approach uses the best methods for getting your life back, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) and incorporates other mind body approaches like Mindfulness to help you gain a sense of control again.  Anxiety Treatment

One of the great benefits of CBT is that once a person gains coping skills, they retain them for a lifetime, learning how to challenge their thinking and change their mind, and better manage their emotions. Without a doubt you are not alone in your experience, and we are glad you decided to make your mental health a priority. We are in this together. Give us a call today: 347-868-7813.
