Yes, kids and teens have problems too! They often don’t have the tools to deal with bullying, relationships, saying no, asking for help or what to do with all their emotions. It can be stressful to see your child struggle, and not know what to do, or to try and help, but see them continue to suffer. Therapy can help kids develop problem-solving skills and also teach them the value of seeking help. It can help teach young people and their families ways to cope with stress, communicate and manage a variety of emotional and behavioral issues, creating positive changes in their lives. Psychotherapy is not a quick fix or an easy answer. It is a complex and rich process that, over time, can reduce symptoms, provide insight, and improve a child or adolescent’s functioning and quality of life.
