This Pandemic has drastically changed the way we work, as employees navigate the ‘new normal’ of working from home or what it means to go to work. The anxiety and uncertainty surrounding the pandemic is likely to exacerbate many mental health issues, even while working from home (and juggling life). It’s a unique challenge, that requires unique interventions.

Employers should provide comprehensive mental health prevention and treatment programs because:

      • Adults spend most of their waking hours at work.
      • Mental health disorders and stress are common among the U.S. workforce. For example, approximately 80% of persons with depression reported some level of functional impairment because of their depression, and 27% reported serious difficulties in work and home life
      • Many people have depression as well as other expensive chronic conditions including obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
      • The cost of doing nothing is higher than investing in evidence-based prevention and treatment.
      • Effective treatments can lower total medical costs, increase productivity, (e.g. reduce absenteeism) and decrease disability costs.

With roughly one in five American adults reporting a mental disorder each year, workplace wellbeing is more essential than ever and we want to be a part of your implementation team. While we provide in person trainings and experiences in the NYC area, we also travel within the U.S. and have also adapted our services for virtual delivery allowing us to reach you globally.
